These are my most recent projects. I'll be updating these from time to time, as I complete drafts and add more stories to the queue.

BULLETPROOF (Fantasy/Steampunk, Draft 2 Complete)

Larodia is a succubus, a woman who takes the emotions of others to fuel her magic. Reviled in some of the lands and demonized in others, she keeps her identity secret from everyone except a chosen few.

Corteo, her oldest friend, has gone missing in the city of Stresta. As Larodia retraces his steps, she and her young companion Owin are dragged into a struggle over control of the local baron’s house and the city around it. The bandits that have taken over the manor are searching for information, certain it exists within the manor grounds. If Larodia wants to find Corteo, she must help the baron reclaim his seat and oust the bandits from the city. But the group of bandits may be more than she can handle without calling upon her magic - and she is as unwelcome as the bandits if the baron's people discover what she is.

ARKAYA (Science Fiction, completed)

Arkaya is forced to return to her home planet after almost four years, and she brings Danyel, her reluctant human boyfriend, along. She's hoping to get in and out of Kelle in record time, staying just long enough to fulfill the Summons - and not a minute more. (She especially doesn't want to bump into her estranged mother or the older sister she left behind.) But while answering the Summons, she discovers that the spirits of her people are being stolen away - and hers is next. Without the spirits that connect and guide them, the Kellen will fall into anarchy and chaos. Arkaya must put her familial conflicts aside and stop the spirit-stealing, before her own spirit is taken from her.

THE SOUL MENAGERIE (Dystopian/Near Future Scifi, Draft 1 Completed)

When Aidan gets his dream job in the Soul Menagerie, he discovers the govt is hiding dangerous secrets about the souls they take from their citizens. (Hunger Games x Pokémon)

THE STARS LEAD ME TO YOU (Space Opera, Draft 1 Completed)

Belmy is the sole heir to the Hastral Enterprise, a monolith pseudo-mafia faction that "shares" the universe with the opposing faction Constellatoria, led by the Pella. Belmy's mother has told them in secret that unless they shape up and start pulling their weight, they will be disowned.

When they capture Orion, the son of the Constellatoria leader, Belmy sees their chance to earn their mother's approval. On their way home, their spaceship is stranded in desolate-space - where the monsters reside. Belmy needs Orion's assistance to return to civilization, and Orion needs them. Orion doesn't harm Belmy, although he has plenty of opportunities to. In fact, he seems rather willing to set aside their families’ differences to befriend them. And Belmy's space-cat Sparx loves him.

Belmy must choose to turn Orion in to their mother... or forge a more dangerous path, and risk the weight of the two factions' ire.

CULLED (Fantasy, Draft 1 Completed)

Zan believes in two things - the goddess of destruction and love, and the protection of his clan. Every year Zan must sacrifice some of his people to his goddess, or his whole clan will bear the wrath of her dual nature.

When Zan is unexpectedly chosen as the ritual sacrifice, he's willing to give his life to keep his people safe. But his sister has other plans - blasphemous schemings that rescue him from the Culling and make him prisoner to one of the nomadic desert folk.

Zan longs to return, certain that his people will all be sacrificed as punishment for his unwilling escape, but Solaen, the leader of the ragtag band of nomads, won't let him. She claims that his Culled mark, the magical X on his hand, has granted him control over the elements - and she plans to use him to bring down the priestesses of his goddess.

In spite of their differences, Zan finds himself listening to Solaen. If what she says is true, and the priestesses have been using Zan's people to their own ends... then he has to save them. If what she says is falsehood, then he will condemn them all to destruction.

(Formerly known as Sword) In a world where the gods bless their chosen ones with power, and cast aside those that aren’t worthy, Nira finds herself dropped into the middle of a conflict. She wakes at the border of Argana and Lorne with no memory of how she got there or who she is, aware only that she is one of the Rejected.

Two forces gather around her. The Argani - led by their Blessed prince - wish to drive the Lornish back over the border, while the Lornish wish to travel deep into the heart of Argani territory uncontested. There is something in Prince Roman's eyes that Nira recognizes, and from the way he looks back at her, he knows her as well, but he refuses to acknowledge the link they share. Nira chooses to save the Argani prince, and sets a devious plan into motion that only the gods fully understand.
